All Eastmoor Academy students are scheduled in courses that are required by the Columbus City Schools for a Diploma of Graduation and a Certificate of College Preparation. This requires 22 credits, to include 4 English credits, 3 social studies credits, 4 mathematics credits (Math I, Math II, Math III, and Advance Quantitative Reasoning or Pre-Calculus or AP Calculus), 3 science credits, (Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry or Physics or Anatomy Physiology), 1 academic elective (Science or Math), and 2 foreign language credits, 1 arts credit, 1 technology credit, 1 internship credit, 1 credit in health/physical education and 2 electives. Students who earn a minimum of 5 additional credits in a curriculum area may also receive a Certificate of Specialization.

Eastmoor Academy named as School of Promise by the Ohio Department of Education.


All students are enrolled in college preparatory English, mathematics, foreign language and science courses. AP courses in English, Spanish, French, calculus AB, U.S. History, American Government, physics, biology, chemistry, world literature and composition and art are offered. All ninth and tenth grade students are required to take humanities, a rigorous two-period course that provides the students with not only the required English and social studies curricula, but also the richness of an initial humanities experience.
