Dear Columbus City Schools Parents and Guardians,

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Columbus City Schools is modernizing the District’s Summer School registration process with a new online paperless process. If you are considering Summer School for your child(ren), you need to read the important information below.

The last day of school is June 1st. If you are considering Summer School for your child, Columbus City Schools offers one of the region’s largest Summer School programs, perfect for students at any grade level who want to get ahead in their studies or seek specialized attention on tough subjects.

NEW for the 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR: The Summer School online registration process will begin this year, starting May 5th for Elementary and Middle School students and June 5th for High School Students through the District’s website at www.ccsoh.us.

The online registration process is easy and may be completed using a personal computer, smartphone, or tablet device. If you don’t have internet access, free-to-use computers are available at any Columbus Metropolitan Library location, Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Before you begin, you will need your child’s student identification number. This is the number that your child uses to sign in on any CCS computer. The student identification number will be your access code when beginning the online registration process. If you or your child does not know the student identification number, you can email a request for the student identification number to ccssummerschool@columbus.k12.oh.us, or contact the child’s school.

Please Note: Your email address must match the email address we have on file as part of your contact information. If your email address does not match what we have on file, you can scan and email a copy of your Driver’s License or another form of valid photo ID to ccssummerschool@columbus.k12.oh.us, or send a copy to the Summer School office at Olde Orchard Elementary School to receive the student identification number. Student identification numbers will only be provided through email. We cannot give student identification numbers over the phone.

Once logged onto the www.ccsoh.us site, click the appropriate grade-level link and begin the registration process. Once registration is completed, you can print your receipt or have the receipt emailed to you. Your receipt is your enrollment verification. Space is limited in our Summer School program, but you will have the option to be placed on a waitlist for your chosen location if desired.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
   · May 5th registration begins online, www.ccsoh.us for Elementary and Middle School Summer School
   · June 5th registration begins online, www.ccsoh.us for High School Summer School
   · All Summer School classes begin June 19th
